“I started taking photos from a very young age. I have always loved to document life as it happens. I was a singer and worked with lots of musicians from a young age as well. Through these experiences I learned to document the musical process with a camera. I can feel the moments in music when the good photos are going to happen. Documenting life through my camera has become an extension of who I am. Blues and Soul music convey life through the lens in a way that is magical. I am on this journey for the long haul. Music and photography have a language that speaks to the soul and I’m honored to be able to hear and see it and share it.”

Markey Blue
(AKA Jeannette Markey)
Markey started her professional career at 19 as a Las Vegas Show Girl and quickly began headlining shows around the Las Vegas strip and lading small roles on several television shows. Markey made the switch to comedy/impressions and began opening for comic legends such as Bob Hope, Phyllis Diller, Rich Little, the Smothers Brothers and many more. After having the honor of accepting the award for Gracie Allen when the “Burns and Allen” show was inducted into the Radio Hall Of Fame, Markey made the decision of following her dream of learning to song write. After shopping some of her songs to other artist Markey wound up being signed herself to the Blues label I55 Records.
After the label temporarily closed Markey began touring as a back up singer for the Andy T Nick Nixon Blues Band. She joined forces with well known touring guitarist Ric Latina to form Markey Blue.
